Privacy

This page explains how Pearalabs ("we", "us") handles personal information on pearalabs.com (this website) and in Peara, our inventory and operations software. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
This website
- It has no accounts, no forms, no advertising and no analytics, and it sets no cookies of its own.
- Our hosting provider keeps the usual technical logs of requests (for example, IP address, time and page) to run and protect the site.
- If you email us (for example, to request a demo), we receive your email address and what you write, and we use them to reply.
The Peara app
Peara is used by fabrication businesses ("customers of Peara"). When a business uses Peara, we process information for it:
- Staff accounts: name, email address and a password (stored only in hashed form), plus a log of sign-ins and changes made.
- The business's own customers and suppliers: names, contact details, addresses, quotes, orders, invoices and uploaded drawings.
The business decides what is put into Peara and why. We process that information on the business's behalf to provide the service, and we do not sell it or use it for advertising. If you are a customer of one of these businesses and want to see or correct your information, please ask that business first.
- Peara uses a single sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in. It is not used for tracking.
- Each business's data is kept separate from every other business's.
- When a business leaves Peara, its data and files can be deleted on request.
Who else handles information
We use service providers to run Peara: cloud hosting, a database, file storage and an email delivery service. They process information only to provide those services to us.
